I'd just like to clarifiy what I meant, even though it looks like we will have a happy ending. I didn't mean to say that the people complaining about each of the various steps were the same people, just that no matter what is done, there will be complainers. There were people who complained that the Character Select option was lame! I wasn't attacking any of the groups, I was pointing out that because people play this game, they will have different opinions on various parts of it, and since it's the Internets, they're going to argue! It's not because Anet is divisive, there are heated arguments in every game about things. That's just how it works. To say that Anet is terrbile because people argue is just plain wrong.

Hey I backed up every thing that A-net has done in past updates and even this one. All accept the sound issue that was it. I generally could care less for something that’s less un-supported by general mockery, but hey like the good fictional doctor House say’s, “everyone lies.”

It’s good news that this situation is coming to a better conclusion, and I thank you on my hands and knees for being so kind. Thank you A-team, and Gaile. I guess next time I owe you something, instead of being a pain in the you know what.

I don't tend to stay in a town too long, too much to do. Every now and then i attempt to sell a few weapon mods (entirely unsucessful by the way), and im off to do normal PvE stuffs.
Soemtiems i take a break and chase minipets around though, I don't get to see many of them.

I approve the change. If i was a more people person, however. I might actually be annoyed. (the sounds.)

Tbh i couldn't give a monkeys about this part of the update. They could've spent there time doing things alot more useful. Instead they put Mini-pets in towns...

I might occasionally view my mini-pet, but i'm not gonna go mental over it been awesome/useless.

As far as i'm concerned the focus should be on the shite job they did with the Templates and Attribute panels. I hate them both with a passion...

  • When miniatures are in missions, explorable areas, or guild halls, they will have sounds
I think this is a great way to meet the desires of most players, and I'm happy to say that this should be in the game within a week or so.

Awesome Gaile, as an initiator of one of the previous threads discussions regarding these sounds, I think that's an excellent compromise sure to please most everybody! (And who says A-net doesn't listen?)

Thanks for passing on our concerns (once again) and hopefully our feedback helped us all come up with what was a viable solution for us, and your programmers. It's great to see such a responsive, dedicated team of people devoted to a game.

The PvE gods have truly smiled upon the friends of Mini-Pets/PvE today
Let the celebrations begin! (well, next week in the Guild-Halls! )

A MINI PET, has a MINI sound.

Not a all encompassing ROAR, that is 30X louder then some of the enemies within the game.

Just like visuals, sound must be used in proportion and scale to the item/creature... whatever....... that is emitting the sound ! .

Therefore a much more realistic solution, would to have the minipet's make a noise that is equal and suitable to their size.

A SMALL ROAR! for the dragon e.t.c

A cute "bark" "roar" "meoooow" "Purrrr" "Mooo" "Mutter" "Howl" "Cry" e.t.c

for other pets of various errr breeds:P.
Lol at this. i want just a random blurt out of excrutiatingly loud mini pet rora just one in a while. jut to you know, wake you up. I also want my mini devourer to meow.

I was just getting used to the no sound idea, even in explorables. My newly gagged Kuunie has been out of the backpack more in the last day or two than the entire time since I bought Factions. The sound in explorables seems fair enough, if someone refuses to put their pet away if it's annoying the party then maybe they're not going to take much notice of anything else that's asked of them.

I like 'em in towns as well, I'm not much of a town person and most of the chat tends to be spam of some sort anyway, yet last night (in Kamadan) there was a nice friendly conversation going between a good many people which probably wouldn't have started if we hadn't been sitting there with our mini pets out.

I like it even know it is useless. Would be a lot cooler if the minipets start interact with each other without human input.

Why? What has it done to take away from your game experience? You can't trip over them, they make no noise now, they don't leave a mess. So why would it bother you?

The only non-positive thing I have to say regarding this is that there are some minor bugs. Such as: a party # (I have seen either 2s or 4s) will appear over its head, or a lv1 will appear over its head. Kind of strange but I thought I would let those of you know if you didn't already. Also, you can respawn your pet multpile times to try to get this oddidty.

Minis in town, I like. They weren't of any use outside of town, so mine had stayed in storage. Now my mini Kirin follows me around town. I like this addition.
